Update From China on Karli

Karli is doing much better than I had prepared myself
for. My thinking was expect the worse, and it can
only get better. She has had a few temper tantrums,
but I think it is a combination of being tired and not
being able to communicate what she wants. She has
continued to go to the potty with no accidents. She
slept in the bed last night with Kylie since we were
told she slept with her foster parents. This morning
we completed Karli's adoption. We spent 2 hours
waiting in line to sign 4 pieces of paper. It was
very hard keeping the kids entertained while we
waited. Luckily, Karli likes to eat junk food, so I
brought enough to keep her calm. After that, we went
to Wal-Mart. The Wal-Mart is 2 stories tall. We
spent just over $100 and bought a stroller, 2 pairs of
shoes, snacks, drinks, some books, and a few toys for
Karli. We then came back to the hotel and rested for
a bit. This evening, we went walking and ate with one
of the other families from our agency. Tomorrow,
Hutson leaves for home, and Kylie, Karli, and I get to
visit the orphanage. It is a 3 hour drive each way,
but, in the end, I'm sure it will be worth it. We
will see Karli's finding spot, see where she spent her
first 3 years, and get to ask questions of the
nannies. I have not downloaded any photos from today,
so you'll have to wait until tomorrow for pictures.
