Today we went to the Social work Institute in Wuxi.
It was a 3 hour drive each way. Once we got there,
Karli was a little upset. She would not let me put
her down at all without crying. We saw her classroom
and the room where she slept. She has been in a
foster family since July though. We got to ask
questions about her life in the orphanage. I got a
copy of her finding note and a picture of her as a
baby as well as her footprint. We then ate the lunch
provided by the SWI. Let me tell you that it was an
interesting meal. There was fish, shrimp, cake, egg
drop soup, spinach, pork, beef, rice with fish, and
white rice. Needless to say, most of our travel group
left the table still hungry. We then left there and
went to find Karli's finding spot. It was on a very
busy street near a bridge and the bus could not stop,
so I had to take pictures from the moving bus. Karli
slept on the bus on the way to the SWI and on the way
back. Once we arrived back at the hotel, we decided
to walk to Pizza Hut for supper. After today's lunch,
it was delicious. Tomorrow, we are going to do a
little sight-seeing around Nanjing. Enjoy the pictures.
