Catching Up

We have had a busy August. Here are some pictures from some of the places we have gone - the park and Galveston. Everyone starts school on the 24th. Kayla, Kylie, and Keaton will still homeschool, but this year will be doing their school using computers. Karli will attend the morning session of Pre-K. Kenzie will do preschool at home with mom.

On another note, Today, marks 8 months since Karli has been home and united with our whole family.

Happy Referral Day Anniversary Kenzie

Two years ago today, August 2, 2007, at 1:55 p.m., we recieved a call from Great Wall China Adoption that our referral had arrived. Our paperwork had been sent to China October 28, 2005 after 10 months of getting it all together. So, we waited about 21 months before finally being matched with a child. We were so excited to hear that it was an 8 month old girl; we could not wait to see her pictures which they emailed about 1.5 hours later. We drove to Austin the next day to pick up all of the paperwork because we just could not wait for it to be delivered by mail. Below are the first glimpses we had of Kenzie and a picture of the kids (and Alana) outside the adoption agency.
