So....

Guess what I ended up doing most of the rest of today?!...
MOVING! I helped my grandma, aunt, their co-worker and his son, my grandpa, and my mom's step brother move furniture and stuff out of my aunt's town home (which she's moving out of) and into my grandma's trailer (which she's moving into, because she's moving in with my grandma). It was good exercise for my very miniscule arm and leg muscles, lol.

And then my mom, Kenzie, and me went shopping for groceries (which we haven't done in a while...like since before my mom left for China!) and spent about 2 hours at the store, and spent over $600.00 on groceries (trust me, we needed everything we got).

So, yep, wow...what a day!!!!

Park Time!

After Super Friday yesterday, we went to the park and met up with my mom's friend, Debby, and her daughter Alana (LaLa), and Alana's friend Emma. And shortly after we got there, some of my friends (Blake, Kayla, and Brianna) showed up (I had no clue they were going to be there, lol) so I had a good time hanging out with them there, too. The girls had a blast playing on the slide (up and down, up and down, up and down we went!), and swinging on the swings (the park that we went to has the most awesome [aww-fumm!] swings I've ever seen), and running around the park, and playing with friends. Today Keaton had baseball try-outs (yes, the baseball season is coming up again), so that's how we spent the earlier part of our morning, then went by the donut shop and got some food there (donut holes for Kenzie and Karli; their favorite). But I think most of the rest of our Saturday is free, so who knows what we'll be doing...

Here are some new videos we took of the girls....

Just a few of the words Karli can say (in English):

Kenzie's Word Of The Week

Kenzie's new "word of the week" is awesome. Only, when Kenzie pronounces it, it sounds like this: "awe-fumm". LOL! It's so cute to hear her in the car, as we drive by something cool, and go, "Ooh mom! That's awesome!". :-)

Pinewood Derby

Today, my brother and his Boy Scout pack had their annual pinewood derby. In case you aren't familiar with what a pinewood derby is, it's a race that people can participate it in, using cars. Each person is given a block of wood (it's pinewood, btw, if you [like me] didn't catch that, lol) and they get to be creative with paint, designs, and stickers, creating a car of their own, as long as it's under 5 oz. (that was the weight limit for ours, at least). Anyway, people get together, and set up a track and race the cars. Each level of boys had a race, which was usually several heats long, and included different winners each time. My brother took 1st place in the heat for his den (twice), and went on to the finals. He got a trophy, and a certificate for the best design of a truck (he mad a shiny gold truck). Kylie also raced in the "me-toos!" races. Those are the races for siblings of the kids that are in the Boy Scout pack. She raced many heats, usually taking 2nd or 3rd place, and took home a certificate for the best use of decals on a car. Keaton is going on to district with his car (truck) to race against many other boys from different packs across the council. Cool!!!! Today is a pretty simple weekend...we had the pinewood derby thing, my dad is working, and later my mom and brother are going to an Aeros game (they're the local Houston team; they play hockey) with the Boy Scout pack, and my grandparents are watching the rest of us. :-) I'd say all in all, we've had a pretty good day so far.

*** UPDATED to add pictures of the pinewood derby and Aeros hockey game.

What a Morning!!!

Well, we all woke up early today, and got in the car and drove so we could be at the social security office before it opened. We got there thirty minutes early; so about 8:30 AM. (We needed to get Karli her social security card so we could file her on the tax refund). After waiting there for about an hour and a half, we learned out that they couldn't help us (the woman helping us out was very thorough and she wanted exact stuff, and an American birth certificate (which we don't have) and some other stuff, and we would need to wait 6-8 weeks for the paperwork we had to get translated [it was Chinese] and return to us). So, we set off down the road for the other local SSA office (they have a Chinese woman on staff who could translate the paperwork there). (After going to McDonald's for some breakfast.) We got to the other office after spending about 30 minutes to an hour looking for it once we got that area of town, and spent about another hour and fifteen minutes there. The woman at this place was able to help us quickly and we were (finally) able to leave, and head off for piano. After piano we took Kylie to science class, then my mom has to pick up some boys from school, and then we all finally get to come home. Wow! What a day so far... but the important thing was the Karli's social security card will be mailed to our house within 7-10 days. :-)

Cute pics :-) Karli has now been home a month! WOW! Time flies....
Today she got shots (and cried!) and yesterday we went to Chuck E. Cheese's for a "fun" outing. Above are some recent pics from the past week.
